The MAQUIVIAS LEVELLING GANTRY was developed to meet the track-laying needs of the new Spanish high speed railway lines (AVE), and in particular the requirements for tunnels and bridges using the new "RHEDA 2000" sleeper for slab track. These sleepers, and the track laid on them, must be levelled perfectly before they are concreted down to the track bed.



The unit moves hydraulically and is controlled by a series of solenoid valves operated by remote control. The movements it is able to make are: general track lifting, track shifting, canting, cambering, superelevation, gripping and releasing track and moving the machine backwards and forwards. It also has manual brake spindles on the wheels, illuminated zero position signalling and an audible signalling while manoeuvring.
